I can’t get enough of this Chocolate Avocado Mousse: a luscious and creamy dessert that combines the richness of ripe avocados with the velvety smoothness of chocolate. This heavenly mousse recipe is not only dairy-free but also packed with healthy fats. Win-win!
Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
- 35g cocoa powder
- 60ml dairy-free milk (such as almond or coconut milk)
- 60ml maple syrup or agave nectar (adjust according to your sweetness preference)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- Fresh berries or shaved chocolate, for garnish (optional)
Method
- In a blender or food processor, combine the peeled and pitted ripe avocados, cocoa powder, dairy-free milk, maple syrup or agave nectar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the blender or processor as needed.
- Taste the mousse and adjust the sweetness or cocoa level to your liking.
- Transfer the Chocolate Avocado Mousse to individual serving glasses or dessert bowls.
- Cover the glasses or bowls with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours to allow the mousse to set and chill.
