Ingrédients

  • 250g mascarpone cheese
  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 100g sugar
  • 250ml strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 30ml coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24-30 ladyfinger cookies (savoiardi)
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting

Méthode

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, egg yolks, and half of the sugar until smooth and creamy.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with the remaining sugar until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.
  4. Combine the cooled coffee and coffee liqueur (if using) in a shallow dish.
  5. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, making sure not to soak them too long.
  6. Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish or individual glasses.
  7. Spread a layer of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  8. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of mascarpone on top.
  9. Cover and refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavours to meld.
  10. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder for the final touch of flavour and elegance.
  11. Enjoy this classic Italian dessert!
